SAMUT PRAKAN: Former Miss Thailand Panadda Wongphudee on Monday filed a police complaint, accusing a 42-year-old man of sexually abusing his two teenage daughters.

Ms Panadda, founder of the Goodness Foundation, filed the charge with Pol Lt Col Suthin Poompuang, a Samrong Nua police chief investigator.

She was accompanied by two sisters, aged 14 and 15, both students at lower secondary education level at a school in Muang district of Samut Prakan.

Ms Panida said that on June 7 her Goodness Foundation was informed by people of the good samaritan network that the two sisters had been sexually abused by their father, who allegedly threatened to hurt them if they told anyone about it. The two girls lived with their father in a house in tambon Samrong Nua  of Muang district.

She had contacted social development and human security officials, who began an investigation, and later helped the two girls leave their house to stay at a safe location.

Ms Panadda asked police to arrest and take legal action against the father.

According to the two girls, their father was a janitor at an international school in Samut Prakan. He separated with their mother many years ago. He remarried and the couple had two children. The two girls had lived with their father. When they were about 12 years old, their father began making sexual advances, touching them and pressing and rubbing himself against them.

The two girls recently sought help from neighbours.

The police accepted the complaint for further investigation. The two sisters were scheduled for a physical examination while social welfare officials prepare a case for a court warrant for the arrest of the father.
