Employers with 10 or more employees must submit an employment and work status form this month or face a fine of up to 20,000 baht, the Labour Ministry warns.
Apinya Sujarittanan, director-general of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare under the Labour Ministry, said the Labour Protection Act of BE 2541 requires all employers with 10 or more employees to submit the form by the end of January every year.
The form, also known as Kor Kor 11, asks employers to list employee details such as nationalities, types of work, wages and benefits, and working hours.
As there are less than 15 days until the deadline, the director-general is reminding employers to prepare the information and submit the form by Jan 31.
Employers can submit the form in person at any labour protection department branch or online via www.labour.go.th or https://eservice.labour.go.th, Mr Apinya said.
Failure to submit the form in time will result in a fine of up to 20,000 baht.
Establishments with less than 10 employees, have no employees or have gone out of business must also fill the form so the department can update the information on its database, the director-general added.
Those who have never submitted the form can start doing so this month without facing retroactive fines, Mr Apinya noted.
The cabinet last month approved the reduction of Social Security Fund contributions by employers and employees from 5 to 3% from January to March.
The temporary measure is intended to reduce people's financial hardship during the Covid-19 pandemic, a time when many people have been thrown out of work or have reduced income.
The ministry is expected to lose 15 billion baht because of the temporary measure as employees will only have to pay 278 baht instead of 432 baht while the measure is in force.
