Nok Air has opened its U-Tapao airport base to operate flights to six provinces to accommodate the need for urgent travel and medical mission during the Covid-19 crisis starting today.

The airline said flights between U-Tapao and Chiang Mai, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Phuket and Nakhon Si Thammarat are being laid on to cater to pressing needs such as medical equipment transport, organ transport and the travel of medical personnel.

It said the services were being provided in strict compliance with Covid-19 restrictions including social distancing and passenger screening.
