Govt faces censure over Covid crisis

The opposition will file a no-confidence motion against the government next Monday targeting Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul over the Covid-19 crisis.

Pheu Thai's secretary-general Prasert Chanthararuangthong said the censure will primarily target Gen Prayut and Mr Anutin over their "repeated mismanagement" causing a surge in Covid-19 infections and fatalities.

The opposition said they are targeting other cabinet ministers for the grilling although it is not clear at this point who they are.
