Israel donates medical supplies

The Embassy of Israel has donated medical equipment to authorities in Chiang Mai to help battle the Covid-19 pandemic.

Orna Sagiv, the embassy's current chief of mission, paid a courtesy call on Chiang Mai governor Prachon Pratsakul recently to discuss future cooperation in various areas including knowledge exchanges on preventing Covid-19 and vaccination programmes.

In the meeting, Ms Sagiv presented a powered air purifying respirator and personal protective equipment worth about 100,000 baht to the governor to help Chiang Mai handle the current outbreak.

"Chiang Mai is one of the popular tourist attractions among Israelis. As Chiang Mai has suffered from the pandemic, Israel is willing to join hands with its people to fight against Covid," Ms Sagiv said.
