Police said two men went to a hut at a longan plantation in Moo 6 village in tambon Khao Phra about 9am on Sunday. One of them shot Prathana Chanthok, 51, who was in the hut.

The man was hit once in the neck and seriously injured. He was admitted to Hat Yai Hospital.

With information from the victim's daughter and son-in-law, police obtained warrants from the Songkhla Court for the arrest of two suspects - Surapong Klabkaew, 35, and Sathaporn Chanmee.

Mr Surapong was arrested on Tuesday at a house in Moo 6 village in tambon Khlong Khut in Muang district of Satun province.
