18,363 new Covid cases, 35 more deaths

There were 35 more Covid-19 fatalities and 18,363 new cases registered during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry reported on Tuesday morning.
This compared with the 32 coronavirus-related fatalities and 18,883 new cases reported on Monday morning.
The latest 35 fatalities were between the ages of 14 and 93 years.
Bangkok had eight more deaths and there were two more in the adjacent provinces of Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan.
Other central plain provinces further from the capital recorded six more deaths – in Rayong (3), Lop Buri (1), Saraburi (1) and Suphan Buri (1).
The Northeast had eight new fatalities - in Roi Et (3), Bung Kan (2), Buri Ram (1), Si Sa Ket (1) and Sakon Nakhon (1).
The South reported five more deaths - in Phuket (2), Krabi (2) and Phangnga (1).
The North saw six fatalities - in Chiang Mai (4), Mae Hong Son (1) and Sukhothai (1).
There were 18,205 new cases in the general population, 31 among prison inmates and 127 imported cases.
Of the local Covid-19 infections, 18,129 were confirmed at hospitals and 76 via mass testing.
Bangkok still had the most new cases at 2,638, followed by 929 in Chon Buri, 887 in Samut Prakan, 792 in Nonthaburi, 741 in Nakhon Si Thammarat, 716 in Nakhon Ratchasima, 660 in Phuket, 593 in Samut Sakhon, 479 in Nakhon Pathom and 425 in Surin.
The 127 imported cases included 49 from Russia, eight each from the United Kingdom and Ukraine, seven from Germany and five from Singapore.
On Monday 169,074 people received Covid-19 treatment at hospitals (up from 166,397 the previous day), including 827 seriously ill patients with lung inflammation (up from 796) and 214 dependent on ventilators (up from 202).
The 24-hour period also saw 15,651 Covid-19 patients discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,749,561 Covid-19 cases, including 526,126 cases this year, with 2,557,796 complete recoveries to date.
The death toll stood at 22,691 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 993 so far this year.
Global Covid-19 cases rose by 1.25 million in 24 hours to 426.39 million. The worldwide death toll went up by 6,173 to 5.91 million.
The United States had the most cases at 80.14 million, up 27,798, and the most deaths at 960,157, up 294.
