PATTANI: A 46-year-old man was shot dead while at a tea shop in Yarang district of this southern border province on Sunday night.
Police said the shooting occurred about 8.40pm at a tea shop beside Ban Ton Makham intersection in tambon Mo Wawi on Highway 410 (Pattani-Yala).
The slain man as Chari Yoso, 46, of Moo 4 village in tambon Mo Wawi.
Police found spent cartridges from a military-grade weapon at the scene.
The investigation was continuing.
