Royal condolences sent to China

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua has sent a message of condolences to the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, over the recent plane crash in China.

The message reads: "Queen Suthida and I are deeply saddened at reports of the crash of a China Eastern Airlines flight in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which has resulted in a large number of fatalities."

"On behalf of the people of Thailand, I wish to express our sincerest sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to bereaved families in particular who must endure such sudden loss and profound grief because of this tragic occurrence."
