The Red Line hit a new high in daily ridership last Friday, with the overall number of passengers on the line jumping as a result of the rerouting of long-haul trains to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal from Hua Lamphong station in Bangkok.
Last Friday, 25,144 people used the service on the first day of Kasetsart University's Kaset Fair. The previous record was set on Oct 3 last year when 25,125 people caught trains to beat gridlock amid heavy rain.
