A 29-year-old man was arrested for allegedly threatening Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's life in a post on X (Twitter).
Krisada Panbanphaeo was taken into custody at his house in Soi Suan Luang in Bangkok's Chom Thong district.
Police said Mr Krisada on Sunday posted a picture of the prime minister on X with rude messages calling for the death of the "tall" man in the image and offering a reward.
When police arrested him, he said he was disappointed his favourite party had not carried through with its election promises. He faces a maximum penalty of a month in prison and/or a fine of 10,000 baht.
