New Year travellers booking inter-provincial bus tickets from Bangkok to the North and Northeast will depart from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, according to state-run Transport Co.
Passengers with pre-booked tickets on buses operated by Transport Co for departure during Dec 25-28 will leave from the central train station instead of the Bangkok Bus Terminal (Chatuchak), commonly known as Mo Chit 2, Transport Co acting president Atthawit Rakjamroon said yesterday.
Those with no pre-booked tickets will leave from Bangkok Bus Terminal during this period.
The switch to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal is designed to ease congestion at the main bus terminal.
It also provides passengers who reserve bus tickets with an easy journey to the central train depot, which has plenty of parking space for buses.
Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal is served by a comprehensive network of Red and Blue electric trains, city buses, and taxis.
Booking can be made via the Transport Co's online platforms, such as "facebook.com/BorKorSor99" on Facebook, Line ID "@บขส.99" and the "tcl99web.transport.co.th" website.
Another option is ticket counters at Transport Co bus terminals nationwide.
People can call 02936–3660 for more information.
Those without advance bookings can still purchase tickets and depart from Bangkok Bus Terminal (Chatuchak).
