Electricians shocked, fall at Phitsanulok Songkran fest

A short circuit injured three electricians while they were installing and checking light effects at the venue of Waterland 2015 which was supposed to be the biggest Songkran celebration event of Phitsanulok province last Sunday night.

Pracha Niam-ua-aree, 29 from Ratchaburi province, and two other electricians fell from the steel superstructure in front of the Rajapruk Hotel on Phra Ong Dam Road in Muang Phitsanulok district about 10.40pm. They were rushed to Pitsanuvej Hospital for treatment for numbness and bruises.

The trio was installing and checking lighting effects for Waterland 2015, which was set up in front of the Rajapruk Hotel to celebrate Songkran, or the Thai New Year. It is positioned as the biggest Songkran celebration event in Phitsanulok.

The Waterland 2015 event was set from Monday to Wednesday and a large number of local and international actors and artists were expected to gather there.
