The Metropolitan Police chief Pol Lt Gen Sriwara Rangsiprammanakul said the three suspects — Taweewong Homnean, 31, Marut Kankhamlor, 29, and Araya Palaluk, 31 — were caught at their homes in the Nang Loeng area.

At the suspects' homes, police found a gun they believe was used in the robbery, a gold bar, and a land title deed for a townhouse in Bang Yai district of Nonthaburi.

According to police, Mr Taweewong said he had colluded in plans to rob a bank truck for more than a year with Satra Suksom, 29, who is still at large.

On June 19, the men went to the Kasikornbank, Tesco Lotus Rama 1 branch, with Mr Marut stationed as a lookout, police said. When the truck arrived to make a delivery, Mr Taweewong used a gun to threaten the driver and his assistant before stealing the cash, they said.

Ms Araya then hid the cash. Mr Taweewong had told them he shared the stolen money with his partners.
