Farose, the creative mind behind the popular FAROSE YouTube channel and podcast—home to flagship series such as People You May Know and Klai Baan—is also the founder of Farose Academy. With a unique blend of education and entertainment, he continues to captivate audiences and students alike through his distinctive, story-driven approach.

A Dream of France
Nat Klinmalee, better known by his self-styled nickname “Farose”—meaning “female pharaoh”—was introduced to English at a young age through Disney animations and Hollywood films, giving him a head start over his peers. In upper secondary school, he began studying French, dreaming of one day studying in France. However, financial difficulties led him to compete for a scholarship. Fuelled by determination, he completed over 50 exercise books in just two weeks, impressing his teacher so much that the teacher offered to tutor him for free.
Although he narrowly missed the scholarship—placing third for only two available slots—he took away a lifelong lesson. “I thought I had failed my teacher,” Farose told The Cloud, “but my teacher reminded me that knowledge always stays with you.” That experience inspired him to tutor his friends, which sparked his passion for teaching.

Founding Farose Academy
After three years of studying French, Farose switched to Spanish while pursuing a degree at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Arts. As the only student from his high school to be accepted, he actively participated in student clubs and extracurricular activities, allowing him to build a broad social network. By his second year, tutoring opportunities began to follow.
Upon graduation, he explored various professions—interpreter, tour guide, tutor—but it was teaching that brought him the greatest fulfilment. Motivated by his students’ success, he pursued further studies and obtained a degree in English Language Teaching from the University of Leeds in the UK. He later returned to Thailand and established Farose Academy, which offers a more interactive, student-centred alternative to the traditional, memorisation-heavy Thai education model.

The FAROSE Channel and Klai Baan
After eight years in the classroom, Farose stepped back to manage his academy and began experimenting with video editing. “I just wanted to try something new,” he said on the GoodDay Podcast. “Since I didn’t have much time, I started with something simple—editing.” To create content for practice, he filmed what he knew best: educational videos on mythology and terminology.

By posting consistently on YouTube since 2017, his channel gradually gained traction. His breakout success came with Klai Baan, a travel-inspired series in which he visited university friends living around the world. With its informal yet informative tone, the series went viral and built a dedicated community. “It’s just like teaching,” he explained, “but on a different platform, with a different audience.”
In The Secret Sauce podcast, Farose elaborated on his teaching philosophy: “The content on the FAROSE channel is dense and informative, so it has to be delivered in a friendly, relatable way. No one wants to feel left behind.”

People You May Know and FaraTALK
Farose’s success continued with People You May Know, a biographical series that brings iconic figures to life through engaging, everyday language. His creativity shone in standout episodes—such as the 100th, where he cleverly edited himself in as the guest, and the “4000th,” which featured the fictional Christina Saetae, breaking the mould of traditional historical storytelling.
He also hosted live events including FaraTALK – Tell Me ‘Y’ and FaraTALK – What’s in a Name?, both of which quickly sold out. In 2024, he was honoured as Outstanding Content Creator of the Year by GQ Thailand.
According to The Matter in 2022, four years after launching his first episode, Farose had taken his audience on more than 70 journeys across 15 countries. At the top of the list? France—the nation that once lived only in his dreams—visited 20 times.

Learning as Storytelling
As both a teacher and content creator, Farose stands out for his rare ability to blend education with compelling, audience-driven storytelling. From a young boy dreaming of France to a creator who has turned that dream into a vibrant reality, Farose has crafted a world where learning feels like an adventure—and students become eager, inspired listeners.
