Future Forward leader Thanathorn Juangroonruangkit and two party executives have deferred their meeting with police to next month to hear charges on the violation of the Computer Crime Act.

The three politicians were ordered to meet investigators at the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) on Friday to hear charges against them.

Through their lawyer, Mr Thanathorn, Jaruwan Sarankate and Klaikong Vaidhyakarn asked to postpone the date to Sept 17, saying the order had come at a short notice and they were already tied up with their planned upcountry trips.

The police will charge them with violating the act after their comments implicitly linking the defection of politicians to the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) during a Facebook live programme on June 29.

Deputy TCSD spokesman Siriwat Deepor said their request was approved since they cooperated well with authorities before and warned them of legal action if they fail to show up next month.

Pol Col Siriwat challenged their claim of the short notice, saying the summon was out to the three on Aug 16.
