MEA Volunteer continues its heroic deeds, this time to Wat Chan, Nonthaburi

The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), led by Samsen District Director Sophas Sangkhakornmanit , held an electrical system improvement event and opened a booth to provide knowledge about safe and efficient electricity use at Wat Chan, Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi Province, under the activity "Maintaining Temples, Saving for the People ", a part of the MEA Volunteer Project, which gives employees the opportunity to give back to society.

This time the volunteers went to Wat Chan to procure and install new electrical equipment in place of damaged equipment, including main switches, 3-pin sockets (with grounding), and electrical excision equipment. Moreover, they changed damaged ceiling fans throughout the temple, installed electric grounding to prevent leakage in the kitchen and prayer hall, and changed all illumination to LED bulbs to reduce electricity costs. The activities took place on weekends throughout August to October 2019.

The MEA Volunteer Project aims to help employees participate in social responsibility, encourage them to develop their potential, and promote social and environmental missions of the organisation. The MEA will continue these activities to be part of sustainable development of society and the environment.
