M17 Group launches Live and Social commerce service in Thailand

Introducing M17 Group (M17), Asia’s leading live technology and entertainment content company.

The company was founded in 2015 by Joseph Phua, the current chief executive officer (CEO). M17 Group’s streaming platform, application and social entertainment business in Taiwan has achieved great success in a very short time. Today, M17 Entertainment Group has expanded its business to Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, with over 40 million applications and streaming platform users globally.

According to Facebook reports, the social shopping market, known as 'Conversational Commerce' in Thailand, is worth US$4.8 billion. The trend of live-commerce is considered strong and well integrated with social media platforms where you can find lots of shops doing live commerce selling various products. They can quickly gain 10,000 viewers and achieve sales volume in the millions of baht per month. It has also built a reputation among many online merchants, so becoming an influencer with a large number of followers.

Based on the behaviour of Thai consumers doing business through social media in 2020, M17 Entertainment Group established a Bangkok office in mid-2019 under the name M17 Services (Thailand), providing a one-stop service for live-commerce in Thailand. The company is ready to open new markets in live-commerce, considered the latest trend for e-commerce in 2020.

Now the company is recruiting streamers in Thailand through www.naklive.net which could provide extra income for local influencers.

HandsUP aims to support Thailand's digital economy by generating at least 1,000 Thai live-selling streamers. The company estimates it will take 10% of the live-commerce market in Thailand this year.
