‘Oishi gives to the fight against Covid-19’ by donating Bt24 million

‘Oishi gives to the fight against Covid-19’ by donating Bt24 million to seven hospitals through the Thai Red Cross Society

Due to the fast and continuous transmission of the 2019 Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Thailand, many hospitals and medics have been struggling to treat the huge number of infected patients as well as tackle the constant rise in new cases. 

In response to this crisis, Oishi Group Public Company Limited, under Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and in partnership with The Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand are on a mission to boost the morale of hospital staff who are working hard to fight the contagion by launching the “Oishi Gives to Fight against Covid-19” campaign. (โครงการ “โออิชิ ให้ สู้ภัยโควิด-19”) Under the campaign, the company has donated cash as well as food and beverages worth a total of 24 million baht through the Thai Red Cross Society. These funds and contributions are to be distributed among seven hospitals. The donation was handed over in a ceremony on April 1, 2020, at the Thai Red Cross Society’s Amnuay Tham Building. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Kamolnai Chaixanien, Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited; Mrs. Nongnuch Buranasetkul, President and CEO of Oishi Group Public Company Limited; and Mrs. Jesdakorn Ghosh, Senior Vice President, Beverage Business, OISHI Group Public Company Limited. The donation was officially received by Mr. Khan Prachuabmoh, Director of the Fund Raising Bureau, Thai Red Cross Society

Under the campaign, 2 million baht will be given to each of the seven hospitals, namely, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Phramongkutklao Hospital, Siriraj Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital, Thammasat University Hospital, Rajavithi Hospital, and Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute. The donation also includes Oishi’s food and beverages worth 10 million baht, comprising Oishi Gold premium green tea no sugar from Japan and Oishi Eato sandwiches. The Oishi food and beverages will be delivered on a daily basis for a three months, with the aim to support medical staff, such as doctors, nurses, public health officers and related persons, who are taking care of infected patients as well as others in the “frontline” of the battle. 

Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, Oishi Group Public Company Limited, The Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand aim to stand by Thailand in this battle, provide support and strength to the heroes fighting the battle against Covid-19 as well as boost every Thai citizen’s morale and help them overcome this crisis safely.
