For the first time in the world, art creations are fused with world-class technology, as Baandam Museum, a 100-rai realm of art creations in Chiangrai Province and the breath of Thawan Duchanee’s life, has collaborated with two top partners Fulldome.pro, a worldwide leader in the immersive technologies and digital domes; and ICONSIAM, a globally acclaimed national landmark of Thailand by the Chao Phraya River, in hosting “Immersive Art of Thawan Duchanee” event during December 11, 2020 and January 11, 2021 at ICONSIAM.
The event will feature masterpieces of the late National Artist Thawan Duchanee’s art creations. Known as the "Emperor of the Canvas", Thawan’s creations have been globally recognized, and this time, they will be portrayed in a new, innovative form of Immersive Art deploying high digital technologies such as Immersive 360 fulldome, VR Technology, Augmented Reality (AR) Art Gallery, AR Mask and 3D Mapping. This is a new phenomenon and the next big leap of Thailand’s art circle.
On this occasion, the three industry-leading partners, led by Mrs. Mayuree Chaipromprasith, President - Marketing and Corporate Relations of Siam Piwat Co., Ltd; Dr. Doytibet Duchanee, Director of Baandam Museum and the only heir of Thawan Duchanee; and Mr. Georgii Swami, President of Fulldome.pro Co., Ltd; will talk about this special event. At the press conference, there will also be a fashion show “Wai Fah Fuen Tawan” featuring boundary-breaking fashion designer Prapakas Angsusingh’s special collection titled “Prapakas Angsusingh X Thawan Duchanee”, on November 27, 2020 at ICONLUXE HALL, 1st floor, ICONSIAM.

This phenomenal exhibition of Thawan Duchanee is another proud moment of ICONSIAM as it has partnered with Baandam Museum, a unique realm of art and craft creations spreading over a hundred rai of land in Chiangrai Province and founded by world renowned artist Thawan Duchanee, and Fulldome.pro, a worldwide leader in the immersive technologies and digital domes, to create a new chapter in the history of Thailand’s art circle. It is a new phenomenon in Thailand that enables Thais to witness the remarkable creations of a world-renowned artist in the form of Immersive Art for the first time in the world at ICONSIAM. This activity will boost tourism and attract travellers and expats in Thailand to come and see the beautiful creations of the world-famous artist, in a one-of-a-kind experience.
She also added that in addition to fusing art with top technologies, “Immersive Art of Thawan Duchanee” at ICONSIAM is also the first and only exhibition which presents art creations of the National Artist as well as 100 other artists under the concept of “Global Collaboration”, inviting Thai and international artists to collaborate. Everyone can witness the beauty of these art creations as well as beautiful Thai traditions at ICONSIAM.
Dr. Doytibet Duchanee, Director of Baandam Museum, revealed that “Immersive Art of Thawan Duchanee” is set to be the biggest art exhibition of his late father Thawan Duchanee. This form of exhibition has never happened anywhere else, and it is also the first exhibition of Thawan’s art creations in a decade. “This marks a new phenomenon in the art circle and appeals to the new generation who is interested in technology, lifestyle and art. I think art does not have to appear on a canvas only - art must be in every aspect of life. At the exhibition, visitors can enjoy 40 of the legendary artist’s masterpieces presented with impressive technology. They are “retold” through technologies like Immersive 360 fulldome, VR Technology, Augmented Reality (AR) Art Gallery, AR Mask, and 3D Mapping.
The exhibition includes two parts. At THARA HALL on the M floor, witness 40 of Thawan’s masterpieces in an AR Art Gallery and enjoy other pieces of art in domes. On the 2nd floor at ICONSIAM PARK, which boasts a panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River, enjoy a special show “Lightning of the Soul” at Immersive 360 Fulldome. The show brings Thawan’s art alive using VR Technology. Have fun with Interactive Instagram Masks which will create a unique way to connect with every visitor. There are also special souvenirs and collectibles such as special prints of the year, 42 styles of A3-size Museum Collection prints, limited edition thermal tumblers in 12 styles, scarves in four styles, Baandam Museum caps in three colorways, two styles of T-shirts, special collection of Hanuman bags, Attapol X Thawan accessories, Prapakas X Thawan clothes, three styles of kimonos designed by Oleksii Kunji, 10 styles of Baandam Beanbags, four styles of Thawan models, and 'Suriyaphumijakavan' medallions.
Beyond the impressive art creations by the legendary artist portrayed through cutting-edge technology, on the first day of the event, there is a spectacular fashion show, “Wai Fah Fuen Tawan” featuring boundary-breaking fashion designer Prapakas Angsusingh’s special collection titled “Prapakas Angsusingh X Thawan Duchanee”. This collection is inspired by Thawan’s powerful art, illustrated into a captivating show that excites all senses. Indulge in a world-class dinner inspired by Thawan Duchanee’s art, presented in an Art Exclusive Dining Show that is guaranteed to surprise and impress, along with a fantastic show in an Immersive 360 Fulldome, creating a special experience never seen before. The dinner is created by top chefs from four luxury hotels in Thailand - Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Siam Kempinski Bangkok, The Sukhothai Bangkok, and Peninsula Bangkok. Each dish is created as an art, ready to excite every guest. Each chef will take turns to create a special fine dining dinner experience for 6,900 baht per person every Saturday, starting from December 19, 2020 to January 9, 2021.
