Singha Estate Ramps Up Preventive Measures of Covid-19

To Increase Confidence and Ensure Health Safety

Bangkok, January 13, 2021 – In wake of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, Singha Estate Plc has stepped up a comprehensive range of preventive measures, including screening at all entrances and active disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, in order to boost the confidence and safety for all employees, tenants, and visitors at the company’s commercial buildings and retail areas.

Ms. Oranee Poolkwan, Senior Vice President, Commercial & Retail, Singha Estate Plc, revealed "Singha Estate owns and manages several office buildings and retail spaces, of which have a flow of people moving in and out every day. We therefore need to be rigorously prepared with a preventive and strict control measures for Covid-19. These includes a body temperature screening at all entrances and requirement for people to register and wear a face mask every time they enter the buildings. What’s more, we initiated some active measures including placing safe UV lamps in the lobby area and replacing all faucets in washrooms with touchless automatic ones. In addition, sanitizing team have been assigned to clean all frequently touched surfaces with alcohol more often. These are to increase the confidence and safety for everyone at our buildings.”

A comprehensive range of preventive measures of Covid-19 implemented at the office buildings and retail areas of Singha Estate: Sun Tower and Sun Plaza, Singha Complex, and Metropolis Building, includes:

• Limit opening hours of the buildings’ entrances and close some unnecessary entrances.

• Advise people to check in and check out via “Thai Chana” application.

• Screen people with qualified body temperature checker

• Clean and sanitize touched surfaces such as elevator buttons and escalator handrails with alcohol more often.

• Spray disinfectant on floors and toilets every half an hour. Conduct a thorough cleaning and disinfection of all areas once a day after the office hours. 

• Place posters to provide information, updates and advices for tenants and visitors on the Covid-19 pandemic.

• Install UV lamps in the air-conditioning system and the lobby areas.

• Increase UV sterilizer cabinets to sanitize food, parcels, and cutleries.

• Encourage cashless payment of stores in the retail areas. 

• Hold a session by medical staff to educate employees and tenants about Covid-19 every month.
