Thai hot shot racer, Tern Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, reaches Formula 4 podium amid fierce competition

The season opener of the 2021 Formula 4 UAE Championship (F4UAE), held at Dubai Autodrome, was a fierce battle between 14 young drivers, from 11 countries, with Thai star, Tern Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, the only driver from Asia to participate in the event, making his presence felt in his first outing for F4.

As for the results, race one saw Tern (number 14) take off round the track in impressive fashion, finishing in the middle of the pack in 7th place. Soon, however, Tern was slicing through the competition in his Xcel Motorsport team car, finishing in 8th and 6th before completing the final circuit in 3rd place, gaining a step up to the winner’s podium and making the first race of Tern’s career an eye-catching and successful debut.

At 15 years old, Tern Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak is considered a young Thai racing star noted for both his dedication to training and his ambition. He picked up nearly a decade of experience in Thailand and international go-kart competitions before switching to Formula 4 for the first time this year.

“The first race weekend was difficult and very competitive,” Tern admitted. I am glad to be able to finish 3rd in the final race. Thank you to the team and all Thai motorsport fans who came to cheer us on. Thanks also to our main sponsors, including AAS motorsport, CTI Logistics and After You, for their continued great support. I will try to do my best.”

The second race (Round 2) will be held at Yas Marina Stadium on 21-23 January 2021.
