Entrepreneur Obaid Belresheed is an individual who believes in thinking outside the box and breaking barriers. It’s what defines him in both his personal and professional life. He is living proof that it is possible to excel in multiple areas of expertise. The business tycoon is admired by many as the embodiment of someone who has aced the multiple industry leadership game.

“I am a big believer in adapting particular fields of expertise and skillsets and making them work elsewhere,” explains the Emirati entrepreneur and founder of the Belresheed Group. “Variety is the spice of life, and if you’re good at something, you must get involved.”

Getting ‘involved’ for Belresheed means being extremely hands-on. Born into an Emirati Royal family, Belresheed is not afraid of hard work; he sees it as his duty.

“My family name is everything to me,” explains Belresheed. “I carry it with pride, and my pursuits and professional career need to reflect that pride. By participating in multiple industry leadership, I establish our family’s name in the world in a positive and productive light. I am not a person who chooses to rest on my laurels and live a life of idle luxury. I have a determination to succeed, an ambition to leave my mark, and an inherent need to make the world a better place. That is my mission and what gets me out of bed every morning.”

One look at his impressive portfolio of companies, and it’s safe to say that Belresheed has undoubtedly left his mark. From real estate and construction to transport, security, and travel and tourism, the Belresheed Group has their hands in all areas of modern life. They are always keen to expand and evolve.

Belresheed explains, “Momentum creates its own momentum, and you need to keep moving and improving otherwise, what’s the point in life? People tell me – ‘Belresheed, don’t you think you’re attempting to juggle too many balls. Shouldn’t you slow down?’ I always reply, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I love living in the fast lane; it’s why I own so many sports cars.’ In all seriousness, though, life is for living to the fullest, and you can only do that by challenging yourself daily and reaching for the very extremes of what is possible.”

When asked why it appears that he has so effortlessly aced the multiple industry leadership game, Obaid Belresheed replies, “It’s simple. I don’t treat a business as simply a means to make a profit; I treat it as a service that should be trusted and respected. What I aim to create with my companies are lifestyle brands that reflect their client’s values. To do this, you have to pay an incredible amount of attention to every detail and surround yourself with the right people. We all believe passionately in what we are doing, and so it’s not so much work but a calling. I am fiercely devoted to honouring that calling. So I have a personal investment in ensuring that every new venture works and works well.”
