Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ – “passion and determination”

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has collaborated with Mr. Rukkit Kuanhavej to create Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ pickup truck that is the perfect blend of Mitsubishi Motors’ passion and the talent of Thailand, crafted specially for customers with unique character to show distinctive lifestyle.

Launched during the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show 2021, Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ is based on the new Mitsubishi Triton Mega Cab, and is available as one of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s 60th anniversary special editions.

The reason for the collaboration is straightforward: both Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mr. Rukkit Kuanhavej share similar philosophies which can be summarised as ‘Ambition to Explore’. This is also in line with Mitsubishi Motors’ global tagline ‘Drive Your Ambition’ that promises customers new experiences to expand their activities and meet new challenges. It also encourages passion and drives people to their success.

Mr. Rukkit is a renowned graphic designer and street artist specialised in creating mind-blowing figurative language arts with his strong, signature geometrical patterns. He has worked with numerous global brands and products that push the boundaries of traditional fashion.

“My passion is to explore and create unique artistic expressions,” he explains. “I am very determined to achieve my ambitions and I constantly go beyond boundaries to explore and realise them.”

“My inspiration for the Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ came from the name ‘Triton’. In Greek mythology, Triton is the son of Poseidon, God of the Sea. I used strong and colourful graphics to make the powerful-looking truck even greater. I wanted to make it ‘The Great Triton’. To me, this special model is the celebration of passion and an exceptionally unique style.”

Sharing the same ‘Engineered Beyond Tough’ concept with the rest of the range, Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ combines toughness and durability with contemporary and urban sporty styling.

The truck comes with seven-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Power comes from the globally proven with its toughness and power, 2.5L four-cylinder in-line DOHC 16-valve turbo-diesel engine with intercooler featuring common-rail fuel injection. Safety features include Dual SRS Airbag, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Override System.

Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ is priced at THB 647,000 and available in Sunflare Orange, Solid White and Jet Black Mica. All variants feature a black roof finish.

With the 60th Anniversary Edition, customers are also invited to help foster sustainable development and affect positive difference as part of the community. Towards every purchasing of Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ before 31 December 2021. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand will donate 2,000 baht per unit in cash for charity. Proceeds from the donations will be in line with the company’s three key focuses on education, sustainable environment and health & wellbeing of Thais.
