The Diplomat Network begins to build understanding, distribute news and collaborate with partners to support front-line teams and COVID-19 infected communities
Realising the hard-hitting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr Phanthachak Wongprecha, decided to establish The Diplomat Network, an International Networks Alliance, of which he is CEO and Founder.
The aim of the Network is to invite government agencies and private sectors from Thailand and worldwide, including diplomatic corps and international organisations, to collaborate on social support projects to alleviate people's burdens during this challenging time. Going forward, the plan is to also support small business entrepreneurs and farmers through the Network’s channels.
The first priority that The Diplomat Network aims to execute is to discuss with partners from diplomatic missions and international organisations how to collaborate to bring help to people in need. The Diplomat Network will also act as a public news agency that shares diplomatic knowledge, protocols, and international economics knowledge through its communication channels to build good understanding and relationships for future partnerships and collaborations.
With 11 years’ experience as a diplomat and 13 years as a business consultant for several companies in Thailand, Mr Phanthachak participates as a guest speaker in AdminTalks, the largest network of people working in embassies and international organisations.
"I've been helping many people solve business problems and connecting people to form successful partnerships and The Diplomat Network is the obvious next step. It is a great opportunity to utilise collective knowledge and experience to help more people.”
Mr Phanthachak has travelled the world as a World Exhibitor and special guest lecturer for several leading universities and private companies. His areas of expertise include personnel development, business protocol, service excellence, negotiation skills, and pitching for projects. He also plans to open an institute to teach and share his knowledge and professional tips with the public.
In his working life, Mr Phanthachak has been trusted to take part in and organise several key events such as APEC 2000 and 2003, ASEAN Summits and related meetings. He has also been Team Leader and Motorcade Organiser of the ASEAN SUMMIT 2019 and related summits. He was also in teams facilitating State and Official visits at international level. He also plans to join the bidding for motorcade organisation for the coming APEC 2022. These successful activities testify to his extensive knowledge and experience at international level.
The highlight of The Diplomat Network is to bring together networks and build mutual support systems. At the same time, it will create a Dual Track stage for diplomats to exchange knowledge and insights. Going forward, this platform will be open to expatriates who live and work in Thailand to join.
The first mission of The Diplomat Network is to be a bridge to bring support and relief measures from international organisations and private sectors in the form of donations to a non-profit foundation under the Food for Fighters project supported by UNDP. This project raises funds to provide food, medicines, oxygen tanks, and necessities for front-line medical teams and less fortunate people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, Food For Fighters has delivered over 500,000 food boxes, numerous packs of dried foods and necessary items to front-liners and affected people living in 50 communities and field hospital in and around Bangkok.
Following its recent online press conference, The Diplomat Network is now ready to be a bridge for the Food for Fighters project to collaborate with organisations and bring support to Thais and unreached foreigners living and working in Thailand. Supports implemented include setting up a contact centre and arranging volunteer interpreters to provide needed support in cluster areas within and surrounding Bangkok.
"I would like to invite everyone to change your mindset from ‘I will survive’ to ‘I will help people survive’. This is the passion that drives The Diplomat Network as an international network alliance at this critical time for Thailand.”
