To positively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative and Sichuan southward development strategy, and to improve the brand popularity of “Zizhong Blood Orange”, a kind of characteristic agricultural product, the “Zizhong Blood Orange into Thailand” Marketing Activity was successfully held on the afternoon of November 30, 2021. This Activity was sponsored by the People's Government of Zizhong County and organised by Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau of Zizhong County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province. The Activity was developed both online and offline while the speeches and presentation at the Zizhong venue were delivered through video.
Following the “Zizhong Blood Orange into Macao” activity, Zizhong Blood Orange set about going abroad and going to Thailand. To make the Zizhong blood oranges known to and enjoyed by Thai people and people around the world, the marketing launch was sited at ICONSIAM in Bangkok, Thailand. It was strongly supported by Thailand Society for Horticultural Science, SOOKSIAM of ICONSIAM, Sichuan Association of Thailand, Thai-Sichuan-Chongqing Chamber of Commerce and others.
Mr. Sun Zejian, the Deputy County Head of Zizhong, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, attended this activity and delivered an online speech. To let Thai people comprehensively know Zizhong County and Zizhong blood oranges, Ms Chen Ying, the Deputy Director of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau of Zizhong County introduced Zizhong blood oranges online, including variety, quality and other factors.

Dr. Ananta Dalodom, an acquaintance of Sichuan people, president of Horticultural Science Society of Thailand and Former Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Agriculture attended the activity and delivered a speech.
Ms. Luckana Naviroj, president of SOOKSIAM of ICONSIAM, said “I hope SOOKSIAM will continue to be an important bridge connecting China-Thailand friendship”.
After the introduction, the Sichuan Yilong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. introduced how to purchase Zizhong blood oranges. Related business representatives of China and Thailand held a signing ceremony concerning "Strategic Cooperation between Enterprises on Export of Zizhong Blood Oranges", and the Zizhong blood oranges will be launched in Thailand next January.
Zizhong County, as a well-known home of blood oranges in China, has built the largest blood orange industrial base with the latest varieties and the best quality. Depending on the large-scale industry, Zizhong County is enhancing brand values and brand potential with this marketing activity marking a new beginning. Next, Zizhong County will scale up the export blood oranges with good quality to the international market, increasing the influence and market share of blood oranges, and treating people around the world to this flavourful specialty of Zizhong County.
