DTGO named one of the world's most ethical companies in 2022

Recognition honours companies demonstrating exceptional leadership and a commitment to business integrity through best-in-class ethics, compliance, and governance practices

DTGO has been recognised by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as one of the 2022 “World’s Most Ethical Companies”.

DTGO is Thailand’s only four-time honouree, having now received the designation every year since 2019. The group is one of five companies in Asia to be listed. In 2022, 135 companies were recognised, spanning 22 countries and 45 industries.

Mr. Pakit Iamopas, Senior Vice Chairman of DTGO, said: “DTGO is thrilled to again meet the exacting standards of the World’s Most Ethical Companies, helping secure Thailand’s place on this prestigious global list.”

“DTGO has a founding mission focused on both society and business. Under our socially integrated business approach we dedicate 2% of top line revenue to initiatives for the world. Following our principle of ‘Adding Value in Everything We Do’, these values have helped us rise to the challenges of the pandemic. MQDC, the property developer within DTGO, helped set up ‘Light of Heart’, the country’s first private-sector field hospital, one of the group’s many recent initiatives for society.”

Mr. Timothy Erblich, Ethisphere CEO, said: “Today, business leaders face their greatest mandate yet to be ethical, accountable and trusted to drive positive change. We continue to be inspired by the World’s Most Ethical Companies’ honourees and their dedication to integrity, sustainability, governance, and community. Congratulations to DTGO for earning the World’s Most Ethical Companies designation.”

Grounded in Ethisphere’s proprietary Ethics Quotient®, the World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment process includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity, and initiatives to support a strong value chain.

“DTGO embraces Ethisphere’s assessment which helps us benchmark our principles and procedures globally,” said Mr. Iamopas.

“The assessment has five main sections: ethics and compliance programme, culture of ethics, corporate citizenship and responsibility, governance, and leadership and reputation. We see ethics and integrity as crucial to sustainable business success. Our commercial achievement will let us further achieve our goals for society and the planet, conserving ecosystems and letting everyone achieve their full potential in life.”

DTGO is committed to combining business and societal contribution, working through non-profits including Buddharaksa Foundation, focused on education, and Blue Carbon Society, which counters climate change. We also address public health by working with other organisations and foundations.
