30th Anniversary of SIIT: Becoming an “Education Hub” to address various demands from academic and industrial sectors

Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, is the first international institution of Engineering in Thailand, established under the cooperation of three organisations: the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations (KEIDANREN), and Thammasat University.

Over the past 30 years, SIIT, as a top international engineering institute in Thailand, has produced highly qualified graduates, engineers, technologists and researchers who are also proficient in English communication skills for the industrial sector and world society. SIIT is constantly focusing on studies and research in order to invent and develop new technologies and innovations.

On June 30, 2022, SIIT organised the "SIIT 30th Anniversary: Learning for the Future" forum at Puey Ungphakorn Centenary Hall, Thammasat University, with executives from well-known organisations and representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research & Innovation and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand.

Prof. Dr. Pruettha Nanakorn, the Director of SIIT, revealed that the next step for SIIT is to become an education hub for the region. "SIIT will not only be the centre of education and research, but also connect Thai and global economies and industries," he said. SIIT offers international engineering programs and management programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
