Huawei announces 2022 strategies to boost Thailand’s cloud ecosystem

Huawei Cloud Thailand Partner Summit 2022 held in Bangkok on 11 July 2022, heard Huawei announce its partner policies, enablement plan and certifications in 2022.

HUAWEI CLOUD Partner Award Ceremony was held  together with the summit to honor to celebrate the success of Huawei’s Thai partners. The objective of the summit and awards ceremony of expanding Thailand’s cloud ecosystem and further supporting Thailand to become an ASEAN digital hub was thereby achieved.

Huawei Cloud introduced the Huawei Cloud Partner network (1 + 2 + 6) strategy at ‘Huawei Cloud Thailand Partner Summit 2022’, including one Partner ID, two collaboration frameworks(GoCloud and GrowCloud), and its six roles(System Integrator, Software Partner, Service Partner, Device Partner, Learning Partner, Distributor) at the summit, according to Mr. Weeraphat Kongkul, Partner Business Development Manager of Huawei Cloud.

“The main goal of Huawei’s ‘2022 GoCloud Partner Network and Policies’ is to encourage partners to leverage Huawei Cloud capabilities to build products, solutions, and services on Huawei Cloud,” he said.

He explained that there are five programs to support partners in this direction:

1.Startup (Spark) Program for global start-ups

2.Huawei Cloud Developer Program to encourage developers and universities to learn on Huawei Cloud and build products and services based on Huawei Cloud

3.SaaS Partner Program to provide abundant cloud resources and preferences, helping Software-as-a-Service partners carry out business around the world and share business success

4.HMS Ecosystem Support Program

5.Huawei Cloud Marketplace Program to enable promotion via direct sales teams, and enhance online content and traffic-building to improve the quality of sales channels

As for the ‘2022 GrowCloud Partner Network and Policies’, they will focus on motivating Partners and Huawei to obtain business opportunities by:

1.Joining: Specify the sales plan and join the corresponding partner program

2.Going to Market: Collaborate with partners to develop more opportunities

3.Selling: Sales funds and campaigns help partners grow rapidly

4.Benefiting: Diverse incentives help competent partners to gain more benefits

In a speech at the event, Mr. Abel Deng, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said: “Huawei always regards Thailand as a strategic market. Over the past 23 years, we have maintained our mission of ‘Grow in Thailand, Contribute to Thailand’ and ‘Cloud First’ strategy to create the best localised service experience, including Thai official website, Thai baht payment, and local service team. I am proud that Huawei is the only international cloud vendor that has built three local data centres here. By keeping investing in Thailand, we will continue to enable Thailand to be the ASEAN digital hub.”

At Huawei Cloud Thailand Partner Award Ceremony 2021 totally eight partners won awards: True Internet Data Center Co., Ltd., won the Country Partner of the Year 2021 award; Atos IT Solutions and Services Ltd., won the Global Partner of the Year 2021 award; Humanica Public Company Limited won ISV Partner of the Year 2021; VONOSIS, a local distributor of Huawei Cloud in Thailand and promoted to Huawei’s premier partner tier this year, won Service Partner of the Year 2021; and Sirius Technologies Pte. Ltd., won Rookie Partner of the Year 2021.

Moreover, as an Advance partner, Metro’s revenue grew significantly, winning it Innovation Partner of the Year 2021; Netizen Company Limited won top 3st SAP local partner for Enterprise and SAP Partner of the Year 2021; and Internet Based Business Group Company Limited won Big Data Partner of the Year 2021.
