Samyan Mitrtown set to cross three-year milestone with community-centric offerings

and expansion of learning venues for Bangkok’s creative community

Frasers Property Commercial (Thailand) Public Company Limited (FPCT) revealed the success journey of Samyan Mitrtown over the past three years, after its first launch in 2019 with the role of food and learning hub in the heart of Bangkok’s education zone and community known for delish delicacies, as well as the business district of Rama IV.

The development project has been successful thanks to the implementation of strategies to drive modern retail business under the concept "Inspiring Everyday Experiences” which enables the venue to overcome all economic challenges and disruptions of consumer behaviours throughout the past years.

Ms. Thiranant Kornsritipa, Executive Vice President, Retail Business Development of Frasers Property Commercial (Thailand), said: “Samyan Mitrtown has been through a number of challenges but we have confidently managed to conquer all of them because of our DNA, which is unique and clear. With our brand position of being 'Mitr (a friend)', the management of Samyan Mitrtown scopes beyond a shopping mall by underlining a ‘space that serves as the heart of the community,’ which is always prepared to support the community to attain inclusive growth and preserve the identity of the Sam Yan neighbourhood that has co-existed with Bangkok up until today.”

With the "Mitr DNA" that aims to be a good friend of the community, retail tenants, and customers, the DNA that provides Samyan Mitrtown with a clear marketing position, together with the concept of focusing on creating fresh customer experiences, Samyan Mitrtown can survive and thrive, and never stop introducing new excitements to the retail sphere. At present, it has regained 135% of the total swing user traffic in order to support the tenants within the property, of which the occupancy rate is up to 98%, ensuring they can continue to grow with the strong customer base. In addition, as the venue is a mixed-use development which combines a department store, condominium, and office building, it diversifies customer groups and enjoys high traffic daily throughout the week.

Every campaign and activity organised at Samyan Mitrtown is guaranteed to be 'fresh' and 'always a trendsetter' with fluid approaches that enable the place to communicate marketing trends interestingly all year round. “It is more than just a shopping centre. Samyan Mitrtown caters retail experience that is different from others by capturing the placemaking potential. It is a place for community-bonding, networking, meeting up, grabbing a bite to eat, reading books, or just chilling out because we create a common space which can satisfy a wide range of interests and lifestyle aspirations across groups and preferences,” added Ms. Thiranant Kornsritipa.

Well-located in the heart of the city, Samyan Mitrtown plays a key role in promoting the district as a destination of choice, and driving traffic and business opportunities to the vicinity. It also extends opportunities to local businesses and people in the community. At the social level, what brings Samyan Mitrtown ahead of other retail premises is how it promotes quality creative spaces in the city. Samyan Mitrtown has been organising activities and creating learning spaces for students, co-working spaces, music and performing arts venues as well as multi-purpose areas to cater to the community.

At the end of September, Samyan Mitrtown will mark an important occasion to celebrate its third anniversary. The venue will celebrate the day with the SAMYAN MITRTOWN 3rd ANNIVERSARY MITRDAY MITRLOVE FESTIVAL, joining forces with its partners and retailers to celebrate the grandeur of the milestone and happy moments through various activities, including the talking SAMYAN MITR–CHINE, arcade game zone, weekend market, with also a chance to win an extensive range of prizes and promotions, as well as mini concerts from POLYCAT, Getsunova, Bell Warisara, and other line-ups, from September 28 – October 21, 2022.
