IRPC in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, present an innovative pillow for acid reflux patients

IRPC Public Company Limited in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, have jointly researched, developed and designed pillows that improve the sleep quality of patients with acid reflux. IRPC makes the Memory Foam (PU) that is high density, easy to recover and anti-dust mite. The innovative pillows are available for sale from 21 November 2022 onwards at Lor Chula store beside the Faculty.

IRPC Innovation Center (IIC) of IRPC Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Assistant Professor and gastrointestinal disease specialist MD Piyaphan Prueksapanich, Internal Medicine, have developed and designed “Pakping”, a pillow that cures acid reflux, improving patients’ sleep quality and easing back and neck pain. The pillows are made of high density, soft and flexible Memory Foam Polyurethane (PU) made by IRPC which recovers shape easily to fit the user’s body contours. The pillows also prevent penetration of dust mites and reduce accumulation of bacteria and mould.

IRPC and the Faculty are cooperating in research and development of several medical innovations, aiming to make innovative products beneficial for society and commercial purposes through various projects going forward. Moreover, IRPC has launched “Chula Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (C-MICE).

Promporn Sinsoke, Senior Manager, Petrochemical Marketing at IRPC, joined a seminar on the topic of “Academic Transformation; From Research to Entrepreneurship”. The launch at Medical Innovation for Society Booth at Rattanawittayapat Building, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, The Thai Red Cross Society also included an activity to showcase the products and opportunities for participants to reserve the products.
