The world's happiest smiling face celebrates its 50th anniversary

Thailand is once again a holiday destination that people from all over the world want to visit, not least fans of Smiley®, the yellow smiling face that is one of the most positive and powerful icons in existence. ONESIAM, a synergy of global destinations – Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery – is forming a global collaboration with Smiley® to organise "Siam Smiley® Celebration Infinite Happiness" to bring everyone special moments of happiness from the smiley face and fill ONESIAM with joy. The celebrations have already started and will continue until 8 January 2023.

Smiley® was created in 1972 by French journalist Franklin Loufrani with the intention of spreading joy and positive energy. He created the smiley face to encourage everyone to smile at one another. Smiley®'s 50th anniversary is therefore a fantastic celebration that includes collaborations with leading brands all over the world. The OENSIAM’s “Siam Smiley® Celebration Infinite Happiness" is the one and only largest collaboration with Smiley® in Southeast Asia, following the COVID-19 pandemic, and one of the most anticipated events for Smiley® fans across the globe.

ONESIAM has transformed areas of Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery into an iconic land of Siam Smiley, decorated with art pieces and original happy Smiley® faces created to reflect the personality of each destination. Everyone can have fun taking photos, creating video clips and creating TikTok content, sharing happy moments with others and welcoming the New Year with smiles.

Siam Paragon, the world-class shopping and entertainment destination impresses visitors with a special gift by embellishing its premises with stunning Smiley® decorations. A spectacular Christmas tree and art installation at Parc Paragon, and a Smiley® Tunnel at the Cascade, dazzle visitors as they enjoy taking photos and capturing happy moments.

Siam Center The Ideaopolis, which was designed to be a city of trendy ideas, places a premium on being a tremendous source of inspiration. Smiley faces, the yellow symbol of happiness, can be found throughout Siam Center. There are numerous activities to choose from. The first check-in spot is at Smiley Playground, houses full of giant Smiley® balls at Atrium 1 and G floor, where everyone can have fun and bring home smiles. Smiley Café is a cafe zone that creates special Smiley®. beverage recipes and special desserts from the famous pastry shop In de Bake. Meet Chef In, the owner of a popular kitchen/cooking Facebook fan page In Kamlung-in and try his special recipes on the 1st floor of Siam Center.

On this special occasion. Siam Center also exclusively presents Absolute Siam products in collaboration with Smiley®. Dubbed "Smiley® x Absolute Siam Store inspired by Proxie", the collaboration expands to many brands at Siam Center, including New Era, Havaianas, Frank Garcon, iCONiC, Leisure Projects, Baking Soda, Smileyhound by Greyhound, and others. Additionally, Me More homemade gelato ice cream is joining in the fun, bringing special recipes, "Smiley Day with Smiley Gelato" and "Smiley Day with Happiness Gelato" to the Me More outlet on the M floor of Siam Center.

Meanwhile, at Siam Discovery The Exploratorium an eco-friendly Christmas tree is presented each year to raise awareness of environmental conservation. For more than 15 years, it has created a Christmas tree based on the concept of environmental friendliness. Under the concept of "Siam Smiley® Celebration Infinite Happiness" Siam Discovery collaborates with PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) this year to create an environmentally friendly Christmas tree dubbed “Circular Living Xmas Tree 2022”. The tree is adorned with Smiley faces wearing festive hats made from recycled plastic items such as drinking bottles, plastic boxes, plastic cups, bottle caps, CDs, and plastic cutlery. Special collections such as COMPONENT, ETACHA, Moleskine, OCIIO, and others also join the festive collaboration with Smiley®.

Celebrate the festive joy at "Siam Smiley® Celebration Infinite Happiness” at ONESIAM, at Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, which runs until 8 January 2023.
