Prestigious awards testify to leadership in innovative agriculture

Mr. Prawin Khurowat, Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Supat Mekiyanon, Vice President, Seed Business, Chia Tai Company Limited, Thailand's leading innovative agricultural company, represented the company to receive the “Excellent Organisation 2023 in Agriculture Award” and “Innovation Award 2023 in Research and Development”, presented by Air Chief Marshall Prajin Juntong, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of Thailand, who presided over the presentation ceremony hosted by For Thai Social Foundation at Air Force Convention Hall.

The awards testify to Chia Tai’s commitment to fostering agricultural innovations and solutions to support advancement in Thai agriculture and enhance people’s quality of life on a sustainable basis. 

The company explores agricultural technologies and solutions to resolve agricultural challenges with the recent launch of FarmInno (Thailand) brand products and services, including agricultural drones and smart greenhouses, pushing cultivation technology in Thailand through to the next level.

With its longstanding experience in research and development, Chia Tai Seed has also successfully launched “Thong Siam Pumpkin”, Thailand’s first virus-tolerant pumpkin variety which features higher resistance to Squash Leaf Curl China Virus (SLCCNV) while providing great yields. This very first virus-tolerant pumpkin is the result of Chia Tai’s dedication in research and development in which it makes use of molecular technology to accelerate breeding and make the whole process more efficient.
