LONGi Shines at ASEAN Sustainable Energy Expo

Discover how LONGi's innovative solar modules dazzled at ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2023, paving the way for a greener future.

ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2023, the esteemed renewable energy exhibition, took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 30th to September 1st. As a globally leading solar technology company, LONGi made a stunning appearance in Bangkok, showcasing its latest product offerings, including the Hi-MO 7 series with HPDC cell technology, the Hi-MO 6 series tailored for distributed applications, and comprehensive product solutions for various scenarios.

At the forefront of attention was the Hi-MO 7 series, a remarkable range of modules built on efficient HPDC cell technology launched by LONGi. Particularly noteworthy is its new standard size module of 2382*1134mm, featuring the 72-cell format that ensures both product quality and electrical compatibility. With a conversion efficiency of up to 22.5% and a maximum power output of 610W, the Hi-MO 7 not only caters to diverse application demands but also significantly enhances power generation gains. Through its superior conversion efficiency, power temperature coefficient, and enhanced reliability, the Hi-MO 7 effectively reduces the levelised cost of electricity for large-scale ground-mounted solar projects, offering heightened customer value and remarkable returns on investment.

Additionally, catering to the customised requirements of distributed applications, LONGi’s product Hi-MO 6 offers optimised performance in terms of light absorption, high-temperature operation, low irradiance response, and power attenuation. With a peak efficiency of 23.2%, the Hi-MO 6 sets new benchmarks for the global distributed market. Based on measured generation data, it delivers an average gain of 6.6% compared to PERC modules and 1.34% compared to TOPCon single-faced modules.

The ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week received support from various governmental departments, including the Thai Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Industry. The Thai Energy Commission led delegations of ministers as special guests to visit the exhibition. Dr. Veeraphat Fuengfoo, the Permanent Secretary of the Thai Ministry of Energy, and his team visited the LONGi booth, closely inspecting the multidimensional array of module products and gaining insights into LONGi's development in Thailand. They appreciated LONGi's position as the preferred brand for Thai investors. Both parties also engaged in further discussions and exchanges regarding Thailand's renewable energy FIT program, with LONGi expressing its commitment to further support the steady development of Thailand's renewable energy market.

Mr. Qing Li, Director of LONGi South Asia and the Peninsula, stated, "LONGi always focuses on high-value customers and strives to establish comprehensive partnerships with our clients in Thailand. Guided by customer value, we provide premium products and services to drive Thailand towards a sustainable low-carbon society. At the exhibition, we showcased our all-new Hi-MO 7 series, which features high efficiency, performance, and reliability. It continuously reduces the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) and delivers robust value that exceeds expectations for customers.

"Light" not only brings illumination and warmth to the local community in Thailand but also signifies convenience in daily life and for a carbon-free world. Empowering everyone with accessible solar resources has always been LONGi's unwavering pursuit. In response to Thailand's energy transition and the trend towards carbon neutrality, LONGi will continue to lead the photovoltaic industry through innovation, providing high-quality services, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and ensuring reliable product quality to facilitate Southeast Asia's journey towards a greener future.
