Jirayut Srupsrisopa (Topp), Founder & Group CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd., exchanged perspectives with Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, on topics including the evolution of digital assets in Thailand and ASEAN, and the future of the stock market, finance, and tokenisation systems.
Topp is recognised as the first executive from Thailand to be cordially invited to join the meeting and share his personal views with the World Economic Forum chairman. This included an exclusive interview with the World Economic Forum highlighting future-focused education, particularly in fintech, digital assets, and the development of the future world labour force at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024, held on 24 June 2024 in Dalian City, People's Republic of China.
Hosted from 24-27 June 2024, the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024 under the theme “New Frontiers for Growth” presents “Topp Jirayut” as a delegate from Thailand among over 1,700 global leaders. He contributed his perspectives on crucial directions for the world on three stages:
- Transforming Talent: A Blueprint for Reskilling and Job Creation: This topic discusses human resources readiness for new professional skill transformations driven by progressive technological advancements such as Generative AI.
- Decoding E-Commerce Payments: Discover solutions for digital payments, including preventive measures against fraud and money laundering, regulations in different countries, and collaboration among SMEs to support e-commerce channels.
- Unlocking the Full Potential for ASEAN's Digital Economy: Preparation for the Digital Economy of ASEAN (DEFA) agreement drafting, recognised as the world’s first digital economy framework, currently undergoing negotiation among member countries. The successful collaboration is expected to drive digital economy growth in ASEAN from $300 billion to nearly $1 trillion by 2030.
The World Economic Forum is an annual meeting gathering world leaders to exchange views and set economic directions, as well as emerging trends influencing global roles and impacts. Hosted annually in Davos, Switzerland, the forum also holds a follow-up meeting during the year, known as “Summer Davos.” As soon as Summer Davos 2024 concludes, new directions and global economic trends, especially the roles of Generative AI in the economic landscape, will be closely watched.
