Mr. Thaveesak Smansin, Assistant Governor, Distribution System Service, alongside Assoc. Prof. Wisanu Subsompon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Dr. Panomporn Suvannapattana, Advisor to the Commissioner, NBTC at the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, Mr. Rachan Pensiri, Advisor to the Executive Committee of the Telecommunications Association of Thailand Under The Royal Patronage, and representatives from various agencies including the Royal Thai Police, telecommunications operators, and partner networks, gathered to support the project to remove communication cables on Sutthisan Winitchai Road. This project spans from Phahonyothin Road intersection to Vibhavadi Rangsit Road intersection, covering a distance of 1.6 kilometres, starting at the Bangchak gas station, Soi Inthamara 4, Sutthisan Winitchai Road.

MEA, the agency responsible for electricity distribution in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan, supports the organisation of communication cables following government and Ministry of Interior policies. This includes ongoing projects to place communication cables underground. MEA ensures safety during the work on electrical poles, benefiting safety, aesthetics, and the stability of the power system, thereby reducing potential accidents. The communication cable removal on Sutthisan Winitchai Road will be conducted alongside Bangkok's sidewalk improvement project, expected to be completed by September 2024.

In 2024, MEA and its partners plan to place communication cables underground on 32 routes, totalling over 68 kilometres, including key sections of Sutthisan Winitchai Road, Asok Montri Road, Si Ayutthaya Road, Rama IV Road, and Charan Sanitwong Road. Additionally, they plan to organise cables on 183 routes, covering over 570 kilometres, averaging 45 kilometres per month. In 2025, the goal is to organize cables on 800 kilometres of utility poles. MEA supports installing communication cable racks on poles to keep cables organized, with 74% of the 2024 installation plan already completed.

MEA collaborates with related agencies to ensure cable installations meet standards and MEA's criteria. They have developed a Smart CCM (Smart Communication Cable Management) system for online cable installation permissions, data recording, and mapping in MEA's GIS. This helps efficiently manage new cable installations.

Besides communication cable projects, MEA has an underground power cable project aiming for 313.5 kilometres to be completed by 2029, integrating the underground communication cable project to minimise impact on residents.
