TOA Leads Eco-Friendly Paint Industry with Carbon Certifications

TOA Paint achieves comprehensive carbon footprint certifications, advancing its commitment to net-zero emissions and eco-friendly innovations.

On 30 July 2024, TOA Paint (Thailand) Public Company Limited (TOA), represented by CEO Jatuphat Tangkaravakoon, received the 2024 'Carbon Footprint Certification' for all three categories from Mr.Pongpanu Svetarundra, Chairman Board of Directors of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO). The certifications include the Carbon Footprint for Organisation (CFO) for the fifth year, Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP), and Carbon Footprint Reduction label (CFR), also known as the 'Global Warming Reduction Label'.

TOA has the highest number of certified products in the building paint market—40 products in total. These include flagship products like 'SuperShield' paint, which utilizes Cooling Paint technology and Triple Technology with Titanium Dioxide, Barium Sulfate, and Silica, reflecting up to 97.5% of sunlight, reducing wall heat by up to 90% and lowering indoor temperatures by 5.5 degrees Celsius. These advantages lead to energy savings, reduced electricity bills, and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Other certified products include TOA Shield-1 Nano, 4SEASONS, SUPER MATEX, the Expert series (Shield, Pro, Flex), and TOA 7in1.

By selecting these paints, consumers contribute to positive environmental change and enjoy lower energy bills and a more comfortable living environment. This commitment aligns with the company's sustainable green business direction under the 'Green Mission' policy. The policy outlines seven strategies, including renewable energy use, eco-friendly production, zero waste management, efficient transportation, and safe and environmentally friendly product innovation (Greenovation) to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This goal is part of the company's sustainable business strategy, addressing the impact of severe climate change and supporting Thailand's greenhouse gas reduction targets.
