We invite business leaders, entrepreneurs, and the general public to visit the event from September 4th to 7th at BITEC Bangna."
In participating in Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E 2024, Midea introduced a variety of new cooling systems and home appliance models. The highlight was on products utilising modern technology and eco-friendly features, such as the Midea VC MAX VRF Series and the Midea Inverter Direct-Drive Centrifugal Chiller. All products align with Midea's business vision and policy, which prioritises environmental care. The company aims to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions within 24 months. Over the past two years, Midea Building Technologies has continuously explored and implemented environmentally friendly and carbon reduction projects, focusing on developing and producing eco-friendly products believed to contribute to societal change.
Midea is committed to serious environmental practices in its product manufacturing. The company selects eco-friendly and recyclable materials, such as recycled plastics and alternative materials. Furthermore, Midea uses refrigerants with low Global Warming Potential (GWP), like R454B and R290, as part of its strategy to establish a Green Supply Chain. The company has also increased environmental criteria in its supplier selection process. Importantly, Midea meets the needs of suppliers, most of whom share the same vision. Consequently, Midea is confident that this foundation will support and propel Midea, along with its suppliers and business partners, towards sustainable long-term growth.
Midea’s business goal for 2025 is to reinforce leadership in the cooling systems and home appliance sectors by implementing strategies focused on offering high-quality products, engaging in social activities, and enhancing after-sales services. This is to reinforce global confidence while driving a 100% growth in sales. These efforts aim to underscore Midea’s success and competitive potential in the highly competitive global market, while maintaining standards and its position on the Fortune Global 500 list as a company contributing over one-third of global GDP. Recently, Midea's market expansion in Thailand involved appointing the famous Muay Thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek as the brand ambassador for the mPro Easy air conditioner model. This model features innovative “Black Fin” technology, a hyper graphene-coated fin that resists corrosion and extends the coil's lifespan by up to five times. The product has received an overwhelmingly positive response from consumers.
In the second half of 2024, Midea Thailand aims to further penetrate the home appliance market with plans to continuously launch new products. These include built-in hobs and range hoods that can be controlled via Wi-Fi or the Internet of Things (IoT), greatly enhancing user convenience. Additionally, the company will introduce a water heater with a spa function, designed to stimulate blood circulation and promote consumer health, along with several other new products.
Currently, Midea Thailand operates five manufacturing plants in Thailand, which include air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, small kitchen appliance, and compressor factories. These facilities are located in Pinthong Industrial Estate 5, Chonburi Province, making it the largest production base for household air conditioners in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Midea Thailand believes there is still significant growth potential in Thailand, particularly in the air conditioning sector. The country’s hot and humid climate drives high demand for air conditioners across residential homes, office buildings, and retail stores. Despite the high level of market competition, Midea is confident in its ability to achieve steady growth, based on its commitment to quality and excellent customer service.
