The International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan, in collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), is delighted to announce the return of TAIWAN EXPO 2024, to be held from November 21-23 at Hall 5, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok. The event promises to deliver fresh business opportunities, showcasing Taiwan's latest innovations and solutions across multiple industries.
Mr. Woody Wang, Deputy Executive Director of the Market Development Department at TAITRA, highlighted the expo’s success in fostering business relations between Taiwan and Thailand. “Over the past five years, TAIWAN EXPO has facilitated the entry of 919 Taiwanese companies into the Thai market, attracted over 169,000 visitors, and generated over US$317 million in business opportunities. This year, we are committed to creating even greater value for Thai businesses by showcasing the latest innovations from Taiwan," he said.
TAIWAN EXPO 2024 will feature over 170 leading Taiwanese companies across 220 booths, all representing Taiwan’s cutting-edge industries. The expo will showcase solutions in five main sectors:
- Smart Manufacturing – Advanced industrial technologies aimed at boosting efficiency and sustainable production.
- Smart Medical – Innovations in healthcare enhancing patient care and medical outcomes.
- Smart Lifestyle – Eco-conscious, innovative products designed for convenience and quality in daily life.
- Circular Economy – Solutions promoting net-zero emissions, green packaging, and sustainable industry practices.
- Culture & Tourism – A celebration of Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage and tourism offerings, fostering bilateral cultural exchanges.
Visitors can also explore a unique TAIWAN SELECT experience featuring a range of delectable Taiwanese foods and demonstrations of traditional arts, such as indigo dyeing and lantern making.
Beyond the showcase, TAIWAN EXPO 2024 provides opportunities for direct engagement. Through business matching sessions, Thai businesses can connect with Taiwanese companies to explore partnerships. Additionally, attendees can participate in seminars covering topics from medical innovation to green technologies, designed to stimulate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
With bilateral trade between Thailand and Taiwan reaching US$16.2 billion in 2023, Mr. Wang observed the growing investment ties, citing 74 new investment projects from Taiwan in Thailand in 2024 alone, totalling US$45.8 million. The electronic parts manufacturing industry remains the leading sector, showcasing Taiwan’s expanding influence in Thailand’s tech economy.
