River City Bangkok has proudly unveiled “Sundae Kids: 10 Years of Lost and Found,” a heartfelt anniversary exhibition celebrating a decade of the renowned duo’s artistic evolution. Launched on November 27, 2024, this immersive showcase invites visitors to reflect on their own journeys, exploring profound questions such as:
- What moments have brought you joy, and what did you lose in exchange?
- If you could revisit those moments, would you choose the same path or dare to explore the unknown?
Through this exhibition, Sundae Kids share their experiences, emotions, and the evolution of their ten-year journey as artists. The showcase features their signature illustrations, comics, animations, and the largest sculpture the duo has ever created. Visitors can also explore a selection of exclusive merchandise, allowing them to take a piece of this extraordinary journey home.
The exhibition is divided into five zones: Intro, Heart, Found, Lost, and Mail Room, each thoughtfully designed to guide visitors on a journey of self-reflection. It begins with the Intro Room, where a series of introspective questions encourages you to delve into your past:
- Do you remember where this cherished item has gone?
- Is there something you once forgot but now wish to recall?
- What did you trade away to hold onto those fleeting moments of joy?
This reflective space sets the tone for an immersive and deeply personal experience.
Next is the Heart Room, where visitors are invited to make a single, irreversible choice by opening just one door—there is no turning back. This symbolic act mirrors life’s many crossroads, where only one path can be taken. Each visitor's decision is guided by the thought-provoking question posed within this space.
As a memento of this poignant moment, visitors receive a special postcard to take home—a tangible reminder of the path they chose to explore on this journey of self-discovery.
The journey continues into the Found Room, a space that reveals the hidden gems of Sundae Kids’ story. Here, visitors can explore a timeline of their decade-long journey, illustrated through comics adorning the walls, with each panel narrating key moments and cherished memories.
This room also features an impressive display of original illustrations, captivating sculptures, and an immersive animation room, where visitors can relax and enjoy an extended viewing of Sundae Kids’ creative works.
Next is the Lost Room, an immersive space showcasing an extensive collection of Sundae Kids’ artwork. Each piece is paired with a story, inviting visitors to delve deeper into the emotions and narratives that inspired these creations.
Finally, the journey concludes in the Mail Room, where visitors can use the postcards received in the Heart Room to write a message to their future selves or someone else. A unique feature allows visitors to select when their letter will be delivered—immediately after the exhibition, one year later, or even a decade into the future. Sundae Kids will carefully collect and send these letters according to the chosen timeline. This thoughtful and reflective element adds a personal touch, making the exhibition an unforgettable experience.
