C.P. LAND Public Company Limited, a prominent leader in Thailand’s real estate sector, was honoured with the Community Initiative Award at the Asia’s Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Awards 2024, hosted by MORS Group. This prestigious award recognises organisations for initiatives that benefit communities and promote sustainability at both industry and regional levels. CP LAND is the first real estate company in Thailand to receive this accolade for its “Solar Cell for Life” project, a model community initiative in Kiriwong Village, Kam Lon Subdistrict, Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Focusing on the quality-of-life enhancement in rural communities through the installation of solar-powered streetlights in areas with limited access to electricity. The initiative not only enhances community livelihoods, well-being, and daily road safety but also promotes local tourism and economic activities, as well as alternative sustainable energy usage.

Sasinan Allmand, Strategic Committee Members of Marketing and Communications at CP LAND, added, "The 'Solar Cell for Life’ project was inspired by the very vision that creates sustainable value for communities. This project aims to improve the livelihoods of the villagers in remote areas where Kiriwong Village, an agricultural community known for its produce but facing critical living conditions with limited access to electricity, is located."
Through collaboration with local communities, government agencies, and private sector partners, CP LAND successfully installed 80 solar-powered streetlights across a 5-kilometre stretch. This effort has significantly improved community safety, enhanced transportation and trade, and boosted tourism opportunities in the area.
The international recognition of this project, earning the Community Initiative Award at the ACES Awards 2024, further highlights its success. Part of the project was also featured in the advertisement campaign “Happiness is All Around,” starring the renowned Thai singer Singto Namchok. Released across social media platforms in 2022, the advertisement showcased CP LAND’s commitment to delivering clean energy and improving livelihoods in remote areas.

The award evaluation was based on eight criteria: Programme Initiation, Employee Involvement, Community Impact, Strategic Integration, Resource Allocation, Impact Assessment, Partnership Collaboration, and Project Success.
In 2024, CP LAND expanded the ‘Solar Cell for Life’ project to the Noen Maprang district in Phitsanulok Province and the Si Chomphu district in Khon Kaen Province. The initiative continues to focus on improving livelihoods and promoting sustainable clean energy in rural areas. With the vision of ‘Accessible Communities for Life,’ CP LAND remains steadfast in its mission to contribute to social and environmental development, creating a better future for communities and the nation.
