The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), in collaboration with leading partner organisations, is preparing to host the FTI EXPO 2025 under the theme “4GO,” focusing on digital transformation, innovation, international market expansion, and sustainable organisational development. The event will showcase products and services from various businesses and is expected to attract 50,000 to 70,000 participants from Thailand and abroad, generating trade opportunities worth over 1 billion baht.
Mr. Kriengkrai Thiennukul, President of the FTI, stated that the organisation aims to strengthen and propel Thai industries towards global competitiveness, ensuring sustainable economic, social, and environmental development in Thailand. The FTI works closely with the government to shape policies and strategies for economic and industrial advancement, while also providing recommendations to address economic challenges.
From 2024 to 2026, the FTI will continue implementing its “ONE FTI Policy,” fostering collaboration among 47 industrial groups, 76 provincial industrial councils, FTI-affiliated institutes, international organisations, and academic institutions. This collective effort is designed to advance Thai industries and elevate SMEs into Smart SMEs through the 4GO approach:
-
GO Digital & AI: Enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving precision for SMEs.
-
GO Innovation: Providing access to technology and innovation through initiatives such as the Innovation One Fund, enabling SMEs and startups to develop value-added products.
-
GO Global: Assisting SMEs in producing and exporting goods that meet international standards, unlocking global market opportunities.
-
GO Green: Aligning with ESG principles and promoting eco-friendly products and services.
The FTI EXPO 2025, organised by the FTI, will serve as a showcase of Thailand’s industrial capabilities and progress. Playing a vital role in driving the nation’s economy, the event aims to expand market opportunities for Thai products, promote trade and investment, and connect Thai industries to international markets, stimulating economic activity and building confidence among domestic and international investors.
The event will feature exhibits highlighting innovations and technologies from various businesses, alongside training sessions and seminars led by industry experts. Academic forums will provide valuable insights and practical ideas to Thai entrepreneurs, helping them enhance their business practices. A business-matching zone will facilitate connections between entrepreneurs and suppliers, enabling discussions on trade opportunities and future collaborations.
“We anticipate this event will expand markets and networks for entrepreneurs, with an estimated attendance of no less than 70,000 visitors,” said Mr. Kriengkrai.
The FTI officially announced the FTI EXPO 2025 on January 15, 2025, under the concept “Start the Smart Engine for Empowering Thai Industry.” The announcement highlighted the potential and readiness of Thai industries while reinforcing confidence among participants. A panel discussion titled “3 Cutting-Edge Technology Trends for the Future” was also part of the announcement.
Primary sponsors for the event include PTT Public Company Limited, Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited, and Ekarat Engineering Public Company Limited.
Mr. Apichit Prasoprat, Vice Chairman of the FTI and Chairman of the FTI EXPO 2025 organising committee, emphasised the event’s objectives: showcasing the potential of Thailand’s key industries, strengthening private sector competitiveness, and creating opportunities for effective market expansion. The event will bring together industrial leaders to foster collaboration between government agencies, private organisations, and academic institutions, advancing the industrial sector.
This year’s theme, “Empowering Thai Industry, Elevating Thailand’s Future – Empowering Thai Industry for a Sustainable Future,” reflects the focus on sustainability and innovation.
The event will officially open on February 13, 2025, with Her Excellency Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, presiding over the ceremony.
“Visitors will gain insights into the development of Thai industries and experience future industry trends and innovations that will strengthen the nation’s economy. This event also serves as a platform to inspire SMEs to grow, offering business skill development sessions by highly experienced experts. Attendees can explore a showcase of quality products from nationwide manufacturers and benefit from the business-matching zone designed to help expand global markets,” Mr. Apichit added.
