Start the year with joy and excitement at the launch of the new Maurice Lacroix watch model, AIKONNIC MOMENTS, amidst the cool late winter weather of Chiang Mai. The event took place on the evening of 16 January 2025 at the Moment’s Notice Jazz Club. This special occasion, hosted for the first time in Chiang Mai, marked a significant milestone for the Swiss luxury watch brand Maurice Lacroix. It was dedicated to the brand’s growing fanbase and valued customers in northern Thailand, aligning with the philosophy, Maurice Lacroix Family, which emphasises treating enthusiasts as part of the family.

Chiang Mai was chosen as the venue for the launch of the new Maurice Lacroix AIKON Skeleton, featuring fresh colour options and case sizes of 39mm and 42mm. The event was graced by Mr. Ravis Haetanurak, Manager, Area Sales Indochina for Maurice Lacroix, who welcomed esteemed guests, members of the press, and the founders of Maurice Lacroix Club Thailand. The event was hosted by Mr. Napat Pinrojnkeerathi and held additional significance as it marked the brand’s 50th anniversary.

At the event, attendees had the opportunity to view the new Maurice Lacroix AIKON Skeleton and explore a range of the brand’s renowned special editions. These included the AIKON Mercury Thai Edition (limited to 25 pieces), the ML X Pond Review AIKON Automatic Limited Edition 39mm, the AIKON Titanium, the AIKON Automatic Ceramic, and the AIKON Master Grand Date Technicolor.

A stage discussion was a highlight of the event, featuring insights from Mr. Ravis Haetanurak, Mr. Arun Shukla, founder of Maurice Lacroix Club Thailand, and Mr. Lertrat Chueapool (Boss), owner of Wimol Tapae, an exclusive watch retailer in Chiang Mai.

During the discussion, Mr. Ravis introduced the new Maurice Lacroix AIKON Skeleton, now available in two sizes—39mm and 42mm—with additional colour options. Mr. Arun shared his admiration for the brand, which inspired him to co-found Maurice Lacroix Club Thailand, the first of its kind in the country. Meanwhile, Mr. Boss spoke about his journey to becoming an exclusive retailer for Maurice Lacroix in Chiang Mai, highlighting opportunities to introduce the brand to new customers across northern Thailand.

Regarding the new AIKON Skeleton, Mr. Ravis stated:“Over the years, Maurice Lacroix has recognised that listening to customers’ needs is key to success. Building on the popularity of the 39mm model introduced in 2022, this release features an intricately skeletonised dial under a transparent sapphire crystal. Powered by the ML115 Calibre—a special automatic movement developed with Sellita—this model highlights a skeletonised design that allows light to pass through, revealing the intricate internal components.”

He added that the 42mm case size was developed in response to customer demand for a larger version of the 39mm model, while new colour options, including a striking blue, reflect the brand’s commitment to innovation.

Mr. Ravis also highlighted the significance of the brand’s 50th anniversary, announcing plans for a special collection under the theme Magic No. 1975, referencing Maurice Lacroix’s founding year. He teased upcoming releases, urging fans to stay tuned for more exciting launches.

The event attracted significant interest, with prominent figures from Chiang Mai and nearby provinces in attendance. Guests enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere, complemented by live jazz performances from a renowned band. The event marked a successful and elegant start to 2025 for Maurice Lacroix in Chiang Mai.
