FahSai Mini Purifier Tackles PM2.5 with Innovation

RISC by MQDC’s FahSai Mini reduces toxic dust by up to 60%, offering cleaner air in urban spaces.

Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) by MQDC, a developer of large-scale urban air purifiers, has developed “FahSai Mini”, a smaller yet effective purifier that reduces toxic dust by up to 60%.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Innovation Officer of RISC, said that the centre has researched technology to remove toxic PM2.5 dust amid current air pollution challenges.

FahSai air purifiers draw in air with high-speed blades then remove dust using water droplets and a jet venturi scrubber. The devices can filter 120,000 cubic metres per hour.

FahSai air purifier towers have been installed since 2020 in key areas. They reduce dust at True Digital Park by up to 50% and at the University of Phayao by 40%, helping create zones with safe outdoor air.

“The research center is moving ahead with developing new models from FahSai 1, FahSai 2, and Fresh One to help sustainably address alleviate the city’s dust problem,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh.

“FahSai Mini”, the latest model from RISC, has been installed at DTGO CampUs, the headquarters of MQDC, on Bangna-Trad Road KM7.

This smaller model enhances accessibility and facilitates installation yet offers high efficiency. The tower filters 60,000 cubic metres of air each hour, purifying an area around the tower about 50x50 metres in radius and 5 metres high (12,500 cubic meters), equivalent to a large football field.

FahSai Mini can reduce dust by up to 60%, according to efficiency tests in January.

Dees Supreme holds the patent for the device to develop it for commercial use. RISC has appointed the company as the purifier tower’s official distributor.

Organisations looking amid the dust crisis to use FahSai Mini include the National Science Museum, which is preparing to install one in mid-February.
