Sasin School of Management, in partnership with main sponsor SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a leader in sustainable polymer innovation, proudly launches the Bangkok Business Challenge (BBC) 2025 powered by SCGC. Now in its 23rd consecutive year, the competition is Asia’s longest-running global student startup challenge. Held under the theme “Growing Impactful Ventures,” it provides a global platform for university students to showcase entrepreneurial solutions that address economic, social, and environmental issues.
Taking place from May 22–24, 2025, at Sasin in Bangkok, the event welcomes teams from across the world, fostering bold ideas, cross-cultural collaboration, and opportunities to scale ventures internationally.

“At Sasin, we are committed to developing future leaders who can drive real-world impact. Nearly half of this year’s teams focus on emerging sectors such as MedTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, and AI—each proposing solutions to pressing global challenges,” said Dibyendu Bose, Deputy Director of Strategy, Innovation & Impact at Sasin.
Dr. Suracha Udomsak, Chief Operations and Innovation Officer at SCGC, added:“At SCGC, we champion innovation and sustainability through continuous R&D, including breakthroughs such as environmentally friendly plastics under our Green Polymer™ initiative and high-performance SMX™ technology. Our partnership with Sasin exemplifies how cross-sector collaboration can help nurture startups that address real-world needs.”

This year’s competition saw a record 308 team applications from 82 academic institutions—an 11% increase from last year—including 32 universities participating for the first time. A distinguished panel of judges will assess the top entries, with winning teams receiving over USD 42,000 in cash prizes and prestigious honours including HM The King’s Award and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Sustainability Award.
