THAI Launches “New Worlds” Vision on 65th Anniversary

Thai Airways marks 65 years with “The New Worlds of Tomorrow” initiative, unveiling innovations in service, sustainability, and Thai hospitality under the new tagline “Grace to Growth.” 

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) celebrated its 65th anniversary with the launch of “The New Worlds of Tomorrow,” a special event held on 29 April 2025 at the World Ballroom, Centara Grand at CentralWorld. The airline unveiled its new corporate tagline, Grace to Growth, underscoring its commitment to elevating the passenger experience in all aspects, while preserving its distinctive Thai identity. This marks a significant milestone following the company’s successful rehabilitation process, as it prepares for the resumption of stock trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in July. 

Distinguished attendees included Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool; Mr Piyasvasti Amranand, Chairman of the Plan Administrators; Mr Chansin Treenuchagron, Plan Administrator; Mr Chai Eamsiri, Chief Executive Officer; Mr Korakot Chatasingha, Chief Commercial Officer; and other senior executives, who jointly outlined THAI’s future strategy to business partners, dignitaries, and members of the press. 

“For 65 years, THAI has remained the airline of choice for passengers around the globe. Today, we are ready to take flight into a new chapter. With The New Worlds concept, we aim to meet evolving travel needs with a seamless experience as our top priority,” said Mr Amranand. 

The New Worlds of Insight and Hospitality: Enhanced In-flight Experience

To create a more memorable inflight journey, THAI introduced several key service innovations: 

  • Multi-platform Sawasdee Magazine THAI’s inflight magazine Sawasdee returns in print, e-magazine, and website formats, offering more accessibility for travellers in the digital age. Mr Kittiphong Sansomboon, THAI’s Director of Customer & Marketing, serves as Executive Editor, with Mr Hans Mueller as Executive Creative Director. 
  • Exclusive SIRIVANNAVARI Amenities Kits THAI has partnered with SIRIVANNAVARI, the luxury fashion brand founded by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, to launch two exclusive amenity kit designs. The first features a Southern Thai batik-inspired white and blue motif with symbols of the brand and airline. The second showcases a vibrant pink-and-purple floral garden surrounding the S Monogram. The kits include rose-scented hand cream, SIRIVANNAVARI Maison lip balm, blindfolds, deodorant spray, bamboo toothbrush, MARVIS toothpaste, and earplugs. These will be available in Royal Silk Class on flights to Milan, Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai from 1 May 2025.

  • “Good Taste for a Good Cause” Culinary Campaign In support of Thailand’s Soft Power policy, THAI presents gourmet offerings made from locally-sourced ingredients, including Look Jub TG (mung bean sweets), Thai rice crackers, KanVela craft chocolate, Doi Tung coffee, and desserts from After You Dessert Café. The “Taste of Thai Tales” project features curated menus by renowned Thai chefs, while the “Streets to Sky” programme brings street food classics aboard, such as Pad Thai from Thipsamai, stir-fried noodles by Jay Fai, and chicken stew with rice from Ros Dee Ded. Premium passengers can also enjoy caviar and signature beverages such as Oriental Dawn and Rose of Royal Voyage. 

The New Worlds of Travel Comfort: Fleet and Service Modernisation 

Looking ahead, THAI is expanding its fleet with new Airbus A321neos, which will feature modern in-flight entertainment systems and complimentary Wi-Fi for Royal Orchid Plus members. “Passengers flying our new A321neos will enjoy enhanced comfort and connectivity,” said Mr Chai Eamsiri, THAI CEO. The addition of these aircraft will support growing travel demand through the end of 2025. 

“The New Worlds of Tomorrow” encapsulates THAI’s vision to honour Thai heritage while evolving sustainably in the global aviation arena.
