CPAXT Posts Strong Q1 Growth, Leads E-Grocery

CP AXTRA reported Baht 129.95 billion in Q1/2025 revenue and Baht 2.64 billion in net profit, reinforcing its leadership in Thailand’s grocery e-commerce market.

Bangkok, 8 May 2025 — CP AXTRA Public Company Limited (“the Company” or “CPAXT”), operator of leading wholesale and retail brands Makro and Lotus’s, announced robust Q1/2025 results, posting total revenue of Baht 129.95 billion. Adjusted net profit rose 10.3% year-on-year, driven by continued strong performance across both wholesale and retail segments.

Growth was bolstered by new store openings, strong omnichannel sales, fresh food categories, the expansion of private label products, and exclusive brand offerings available only at Makro and Lotus’s. The Company also benefited from post-amalgamation synergies, which improved its gross profit margin. CPAXT maintained prudent financial management by reducing debt, strengthening cash flow, and preserving liquidity.

In March 2025, CPAXT reaffirmed its leadership in Asia’s Retail Tech sector. Euromonitor International ranked Makro PRO as Thailand’s No. 1 grocery e-commerce platform, with a 39.5% market share in 2024. The Lotus’s SMART App followed closely, capturing a 19.5% share in the Baht 64 billion grocery e-commerce market.

Mr. Tanin Buranamanit, Group Chief Executive Officer, noted that the Company’s Q1 performance aligns with its strategy of expanding value-priced private label offerings across all categories. He also highlighted growth in ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat segments, supported by collaborations with renowned chefs and brands, to deliver distinctive experiences for consumers and entrepreneurs alike.

CPAXT’s 2025 strategy focuses on driving sales across all channels, leveraging hyper-personalisation AI to analyse customer behaviour, expanding its store footprint, and enhancing rental spaces under the 'Happy Community, Happy Mall' concept. This approach aims to strengthen community well-being, create local employment, and support sustainability through initiatives such as Mitrtae Shohuay, Super 60, and sourcing from local farmers and SMEs.

International recognition has followed. Makro was ranked among Asia-Pacific’s Top 100 Best Companies of 2025 by TIME magazine and Statista, earning a score of 90.45 and placing in the top five Thai firms. Additionally, CPAXT received the 2025 Top Employer Award in Thailand for the third consecutive year from the Netherlands-based Top Employers Institute.

CP AXTRA remains committed to sustainable growth, environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and good governance—creating long-term value for shareholders and reinforcing trust among stakeholders.
