From Hong Kong’s Michelin heights to Bangkok’s riverside, Shang Palace unveils refined Chinese creations by Chef Kwok Ka Wai.

Bangkok, 13 May 2025 – Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant at Shangri-La Bangkok proudly introduces Executive Chinese Chef Kwok Ka Wai, who brings with him years of experience from a 3-Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. Making his Bangkok debut, Chef Kwok presents a refined interpretation of Chinese cuisine, infusing each dish with modern touches and a passion for premium seafood.

Diners can now savour his signature creations, which reflect a masterful balance of tradition, innovation, and artistry. Among the highlights are the stir-fried fresh lobster with scallions, offering bold aroma and delicate sweetness, and the baked stuffed crab shell, delivering rich layers of texture and depth. The baked oyster with port wine showcases Chef Kwok’s ability to blend bold flavours with finesse, while the fried diced cod fish with honey offers a harmonious mix of crispness and gentle sweetness, capturing the chef’s hallmark style.

Chef Kwok’s debut menu is available daily for lunch and dinner, with dishes starting from THB 810 nett, exclusively at Shang Palace. With this new chapter, Shangri-La Bangkok invites guests to experience the elevated craftsmanship and culinary elegance of one of Asia’s most respected Chinese chefs.
