Bangkok, May 2025 – Following a fire that broke out at a private warehouse and kitchen cabinet factory in Soi Chalong Krung 55, Lat Krabang District, causing concern among nearby residents, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited responded to a request from the Ministry of Industry, via the Department of Industrial Works (DIW), to assist in the emergency response efforts.
Bangchak swiftly deployed a 15,000-litre firefighting foam truck and a trained firefighting team from its Phra Khanong Refinery. Working in close coordination with government agencies and local authorities, the team utilised firefighting foam to suppress residual heat and prevent flare-ups—playing a vital role in bringing the fire under control.
Mr Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation, stated, “Safety is at the heart of Bangchak’s operations. Our Phra Khanong Refinery serves as a benchmark for safety and sustainable management. It is the first and only refinery in Thailand to receive both the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) and the Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA) from the Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO), underscoring our commitment to international standards in safety, environmental protection, and risk management.”
“As a key player in national energy security, Bangchak is always ready to support emergency response efforts that safeguard lives and communities. I would like to thank our firefighting team for their dedication and extend our heartfelt support to those affected by the incident. We wish them a swift recovery.”
