BANGKOK, June 18, 2025 – Manufacturing Expo 2025 officially opened today at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), presenting a transformative platform for the future of industry. Organised by RX Tradex, the event is ASEAN’s most comprehensive showcase of machinery and manufacturing technology, featuring seven specialised exhibitions under one roof. Spanning more than 45,000 square metres, the expo brings together over 2,000 leading brands from 30 countries and offers more than 100 insightful seminar sessions for professionals across all sectors.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry, who delivered a keynote on “Reshape Strategies to Power Up Thailand’s Manufacturing Resilience.” He emphasised that while global dynamics continue to shift, Thailand must view change as an opportunity, focusing less on low-cost production and more on innovation, sustainability, and competitive advantage. Environmentally friendly processes that benefit both the public and national economy are now essential, he said, urging greater collaboration between public and private sectors to propel Thailand into a new industrial era. Mr Akanat reaffirmed his commitment to revitalising the manufacturing sector to support at least 1% growth in national GDP.
Mrs Varaporn Dhamcharee, Managing Director of RX Tradex, noted that over the next four days, attendees will discover cutting-edge technologies designed to transform production lines, elevate sustainability, and encourage cross-sector collaboration. “Manufacturing Expo 2025 is more than a trade show—it’s a hub of knowledge, networking, and new opportunities that will help Thailand’s industrial sector step confidently into the future,” she said.

This year’s event includes specialised zones in plastics, moulds and dies, automotive parts, robotics and automation, electronics, surface and coatings, and smart factory solutions. Six thematic zones highlight innovation, competition, and educational sessions from more than 120 expert speakers. Key forums and highlights include:
- Automotive Summit 2025: “AI4AI – Artificial Intelligence Driving Automotive Towards the Future” focuses on AI integration in automotive product development, manufacturing processes, and future ecosystems.
- TAPMA Conference: Exploring tax policy, market volatility, and the evolving auto parts industry under “Soaring into the Future in a Changing World.”
- FACTECH FOCUS: Providing practical insights for facility managers on smart factory modernisation.
- NEPCON Forum: Exploring “Driving Force of AI and Intelligent Semiconductors Toward Industry 4.0.”
- Plastic Forum: “New Dimensions in Plastics” highlights sustainability and market adaptation.
- Robotics & Automation Symposium: Addressing how emerging tech supports the low-carbon manufacturing transition.
- Surface & Coatings Forum: Presenting future-forward technologies and sustainable surface treatments.
- Industrial AI Developer Summit: A new forum spotlighting AI applications in advanced manufacturing.

Dr Kriangsak Wongpromrat, President of the Thailand Automotive Institute, described the Automotive Summit as Thailand’s leading academic forum for automotive innovation. Now in its 12th year, it focuses on how artificial intelligence is reshaping the automotive ecosystem, with insights from over 18 leading organisations from Thailand, Japan, China, India, and Germany. Distinguished speakers will present strategies for integrating AI to boost safety, efficiency, and connectivity.
The summit also aims to foster greater cooperation among government bodies, private enterprises, and educational institutions. “We deeply appreciate the contributions of all stakeholders and especially the participation of 1,300 registered attendees across the summit sessions,” said Dr Kriangsak. “This event provides valuable insights and networking opportunities that will drive forward-thinking strategies across Thailand’s manufacturing and automotive sectors.”
